Aleah 1 Month Old

I can't believe it has already been a month since Aleah was brought into our lives. It goes by way too fast. I am scared to close my eyes for a moment because I know that when I do she will become a toddler. This isn't the greatest picture but I have a hard time with that. Well Aleah is such a sweetheart we just love having her in our lives. I never thought I could love another child as much as I love Ethan and sure enough my heart just grew because I love her so much. She is getting so strong, holding her head and trying to stand when you hold her. She is still not sleeping great due to who knows... she does have reflex so she gags a lot and spits up. I just started putting her on her stomach to sleep and I think it is helping a little. The other night she slept in three hour intervals but then the next night she was up every 2 hours and wanted to stay awake for 2 hours. ugh. She is lucky that she is so darn cute. I am starting to feel like I can go places. I don't know how all you power moms do everything with all the kids. I have been to walmart and Costco a few times and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I am learning little tricks or things that work for us everyday. Ethan still LOVES his sister. He likes to try and share his food and his toys and well... everything. He drives me crazy because he can't leave her alone. I finally have found that to get him out of her face I tell him that she cant see him when he is that close so he will back up a little... this only works 1/2 of the time. I am back to doing hair now but I am only working Saturdays and evenings. I tried to do a color during the day and it was nuts so I will stick with the later hours when Evan can be home to help out. Well it has been busy and I feel like a slacker but I will keep posting pictures I am sure I will have some of her in her blessing dress.. which is beautiful. I cant wait until she can wear it!

summertime weather I wish

I know it is not as nice out this week but last week was so fun. I LOVED the warm weather...70's...80's, ahh. How nice it was to be outside and to be able to enjoy it. I sucked in every ounce of sun shine. I also don't worry about Aleah as much as I do with the cold winds. Last Sunday we went to our favorite park Anne Morrison. It was somewhere in the high 70's that day and a perfect park day. We tried to feed the ducks but everyone else had the same idea as us and the ducks were pretty full. It was still fun, Ethan didn't care if they ate or not.
Ethan loves to swing. He would do this all day long. We tried to feed the ducks but everyone at the park had the same idea as us. The ducks were well fed and not wanting to eat. Luckily Ethan didn't care and had so much fun throwing chunks of bread in the water. I think we fed more geese than ducks, I was not liking one of the geese he was the bully and kept hissing at the other geese and at Ethan. Evan started making pellets out of bread and hitting the mean guy. Can you guess what happened next? Ethan started to follow suit. He thought it was hilarious when he would get the mean one. Oh and just for the record we are not animal haters. We just felt bad for the other geese who were being hissed at by the big bad bird.

Happy Easter!

Aleah 11 Days old
Evan calls me a nerd for taking this picture, but how could I resist. Aleah is so small and with the Easter holiday I thought it would be so cute. I am lucky I caught this pic, because the rest of them she had a stinky face. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and that the Easter bunny was able to find all your houses. The Easter bunny made it to our house and Ethan loved his coloring books, movies, and bubbles oh and how can I forget the CANDY!

Aleah is 1 week old

You might wonder what this is a picture of. First of all it didn't turn out great but it is Ethans race track. His Aunt Julie bought him a lightning mcqueen color/sticker book. It has been keeping him very busy. He covers my couch daily with stickers. It is the greatest thing. I just peel them of at night when we go to bed and he does it all over the next day. He loves it and it doesnt hurt a thing. I just think it is too cute how he lines them up all in a row. I have had a lot of fun dressing this little girl. You will notice from the rest of these pictures.
I had to get pictures of her on this blanket. My mom made this for her. She makes a blanket for each of the grandchildren. They are my favorite! They are so silky and soft. This one has special meaning to me because it is just like the one I had when I was a baby that my mom made me.
Here she is good and awake. Don't look at her tights they drown her, but I had to put them on her still.
Aleah looks so good in yellow. This is one of my favorite dresses. Thanks to Myca :) Unfortantley Aleah wouldnt pose.
You might think this is just an ordinary picture of her asleep, but look at the smarties on her lap. Grandma has been spoiling Ethan with candy and treats all week... he loves his sister so much he has even been sharing them with her.
Aleah is very healthy and is such a sweet baby. We are very blessed. She has been sleeping at night in 3 hour spans. I just hope it stays that way. I never thought I could love another child as much as I love our Ethan but I love this angel with all my heart. I am still recovering but I would have another one again tomorrow if they were as sweet as she is. She never cries and is so patient with her brother. He has to be in her face all the time. If she is hungry he thinks that she is trying to eat his nose. Once again I am feeling very blessed that Ethan is such a good brother and that Aleah is such a good baby. Thanks for all your kind words and support.

Welcoming Aleah Jo Waters

Aleah Jo Waters2 days old
Evan with his baby girl
Ethan is so excited to see his "Leah". He cracks me up already. He knows that she eats milk and for some reason he thinks that her blue bulb syringe has chocolate milk in it. He brings it to here all the time and says " Here Leah choco milk." It is very cute. He has tries to share a lot of things with his sister... mostly food and a few toys. He is very sweet. He really wants to help feed her and change her diaper.
1st family photo.
Loving life with an epidural.
The people who made my delivery such a sweet experience.
Dr. Hodges and Becky. They were so amazing. It was such a great delivery and a lot of it was because of them.
We are so excited to have Aleah here. I am so thankful that heavenly father has blessed us to be parents again and to give us such a beautiful healthy little girl. We love her very much. I will post more pictures later.
